We are venom. We are Venom.
We are the devourer, the omniscient maw.
We are venom. We are Venom.
We are the refugee, the miracle.
We are venom. We are Venom.
We are the glue that binds, the hand that feeds.
We are venom. We are Venom.
We are the rejected, the star-crossed lover.
We are venom. We are Venom.
We are the crux of life, the life after death.
We are venom. We are Venom.
We are your only hope, your last chance.
Do not be afraid.
Let the midnight
wash over you,
engulf existence.
Endless abyss:
this is a gift.
Endless abyss:
this is a gift.
Let the echoes of the past that deluded your strength
fade away. Let there be a vast, eternal silencing.
This is a love song. Be baptized unto me.
The stony cold host lies in our resting place.
Can't you see you need me? I'll make you see you want me.
Let the echoes of the past that deluded your strength
fade away. Let there be a vast, eternal silencing.
This is a love song. Be baptized unto me.
The stony cold host lies in our resting place.
Can't you see you want me? I'll make you see you need me.
The cacophony rushes over me,
and now I am an amputee.
The funeral bells sound, weighing us down.
I could have swore that I nearly drowned.
Is it so insane to want to embrace
the only one that I truly hate?
I'm so alone.
I'm so alone.
I'm so alone
I don't have a home.
If I could, I would destroy myself.
Meet me sweet, sweet suicide.
And here you are, kneeling down praying
to a god that does not hear your pleas.
Let me be your savior.
I've found a purpose:
to spread malice
I've found a purpose:
to sow agony's harvest
for you.
I'll poison the air in your lungs,
drown you in the pain I feel myself.

I hunt for honor.
The tyger, the man, the spider.
Man is the beast of the city.
He fashions his den out of brick and mortar.
Fearful and mistrusting,
his weakness must only grow
So, we exploit them
as nature intends.
We've evolved beyond the sapiens.
We are reflections of gods,
gods.
Fated to play out this final hunt we wait
as both the hunter and the prey.
For honor, only one life can remain.
By sunrise, a man must fall.
A thunderclap signals the start of the game.
Studying and exploiting each protected move you make,
by sunrise, I will know my victory.
A peaceful slumber,
(a /un)welcome repose,
restless dreamscape,
nightmare that comes and goes
a bed made of mud and earth.
But the earth's no place for the weary.
But the earth's no place for a man.
But the Earth's no place for the weary.
The Earth's no place for a man.
Two weeks in the earth,
two weeks in the ground.
Come out! Come out!
You'd have the spider, but I'm just a man.
You hunt for honor, but I am just a man.

Ezekiel
14:12
|

And after all this time,
I thought I was alone,
yet in the shadows he lurked,
waiting, watching, and biding his time,
determined to see me writhe apart at the seams.
How could anyone watching over me
not intervene as I lose humanity?
I'm not just a totem of the Anansi..
My guardian angel, you failed, and I'm paying the price.
Don't talk to me about destiny.
It is all a lie.
Chaos causes loss.
There's no divinity.
Where were you when I lost them all to
brutal savagery? That vindicated disorder as I watched them bleed.
Where were you? Where were you?
Ezekiel, you share in the guilt of the arachnid.
I have to believe this is true.
If false, what am I supposed to do?
Predestined to lose it all.
Delighted to watch me fall?
I'm alive as you slumber.
Blood rites/rights the wrongs.
Deception reigns.
False god Babylon.
Prey on them all.
This sacrifice is the end.
Immortal justice.
You aren't half what you pretend.
Immortal justice.
This sacrifice is the end.
Immortal justice.
You aren't half what you pretend.
Immortal justice.

The world is at war. Only the mighty's will be done.
Nation against nation. Kingdom against kingdom.
Famine and pestilence have destroyed our tomorrows.
All hope has perished, replaced only by sorrow.
New York is a funeral pyre. Babylon a pile of dust.
Crushed by a bleak future, my optimism's now a husk.
I've been buried alive. I've learned to distrust.
Everyone I loved has died. Even the dead return to crush
every unspoiled memory I've ever had, felt, or held close.
There was a time where I was a beam of light.
I listened well to the makeshift philosophers
who guided me away from the circles of hell.
They never told me that I was already there.
Lust and wrath have followed me everywhere.
Gluttony and greed, I've seen your face.
Anger, fraud, and treachery are nothing new to me.
I'm unafraid that heresy will condemn me.
I'm to blame.
I know my own guilt.
I'm to blame.
Wish I had the courage to kill myself.
I'm to blame,
the only common thread.
I'm to blame,
too earnest to believe I've been mislead.
Yet, through it all, I've always had
some sort of rock that helped pull me through.
Yet now it's slipping away from my grasp
I would sell my soul if I could take it back.
I have heard you speaking
in desperate sobs that grant you pity.
But I would be remiss
to pretend that your soul exists.
You have nothing left to offer;
you're an abyss. That ain't no coffer.
I could give you a new start,
but first I must take it all apart
and leave you loveless, barren, and in the dark.
Yet, through it all, I've always had
some sort of rock that helped pull me through.
Yet now it's slipping away from my grasp
I would sell my soul if I could take it back.
I have heard you speaking
in desperate sobs that grant you pity.
But I would be remiss
to pretend that your soul exists.
You have nothing left to offer;
you're an abyss. That ain't no coffer.
I could give you a new start,
but first I must take it all apart
and leave you loveless, barren, and in the dark.
I find myself at the beginning.
with no greater understanding.
No gain without loss, no hope without shame;
if this is what heaven and hell offer, then I'll carve my own way:
something human and blasphemous,
something spiritual and destructive.
I tried to fix the world and I found it complacent.
From these shards of history, I'll make a better present.
I find myself at the beginning.
with no greater understanding.
No gain without loss, no hope without shame;
if this is what heaven and hell offer, then I'll carve my own way:
something human and blasphemous,
something spiritual and destructive.
I tried to fix the world and I found it complacent.
From these shards of history, I'll make a better present.
This is a call: everything is a phoenix.
